Acknowledgment

Only organisations receiving support from the Peter Harrison Foundation are permitted to use our acknowledgement and logo. This section provides you guidance on acknowledging your grant award in a way that aligns with the Foundation's brand identity. It covers visual, verbal, and written communication, including the selection and use of specific logos, to ensure consistency.

How to acknowledge our grant

As a condition of receiving our grant, we require you to acknowledge our support in your annual report and accounts. In addition, we hope you'll proudly showcase our acknowledgement and logo by featuring them on related information, marketing and publicity materials.

Please remember, if you use our logo, it's essential that you use it correctly. Please refer to our logo guidelines below.

If you issue press releases, interviews, public statements, and event speeches, we ask you to include a written or verbal acknowledgement of our support in all throughout your funding period. Simply use the words: 'Supported by the Peter Harrison Foundation'.

Press releases

If you wish to send out a press release, we've created a template that we hope will be helpful for you to showcase the incredible work you're doing with support from the Peter Harrison Foundation. You'll notice there are some spaces to include project-specific information, so please fill those with as much detail as you can.

Feel free to add a quote from the people you support to illustrate the difference you're making to local lives (with their permission, of course!). We've also included some recommended wording for a covering email below.

Websites

If your organisation has a website with a page acknowledging your funders, please include our logo on your funders page.

Please review the sections in this document titled Logo Considerations and Co-Branding for further advice on how our logo should be used.

Additionally, we encourage you to include a link to our website so everyone knows who we are and how to apply for our support.

Social media

Feel free to celebrate the good news about the great work you're doing on social media.

We’re always looking to connect with organisations we support. We’ll sometimes be able to share your posts on social media. But for that to happen you’ll need to tag/mention us.

These are our social media handles:

LinkedIn - @PeterHarrisonFoundation

  • Signage must be easily readable from a minimum of five metres

  • Signage must meet the following minimum sizes (including exclusion zones): Large format site boards and hoardings – 300 mm high
Permanent signs – 150 mm high

  • For acrylic signs we recommend using Blue 751 acrylic with the white logo

Printed materials

We encourage you to feature our logo in any print advertising related to the funded project, as well as on the front or back cover of any related brochures and programmes.

• If the space for advertising doesn't allow for a legible logo, simply use the words: 'Supported by the Peter Harrison Foundation'.

• Our print advertising guidelines also extend to recruitment advertising if the role advertised is related to the funded project.

• If your grant is designated for a single project within a larger programme or event, ensure the logo is prominently displayed on the relevant brochure or programme pages, using our logo usage guidelines outlined in this document.

Film, sound, and broadcast media

Ensure that your visual media acknowledges our support by using our logo as per this document's Logo Usage guidelines.

For sound media, include a verbal acknowledgement: 'This production is supported by the Peter Harrison Foundation'.
